Personal protective equipment control

Problem

The safety department checked compliance selectively, by walking the floor. Violations were recorded after the fact and no per-area statistics existed.

Solution

We deployed person and equipment detection on the existing cameras, added tracking to remove duplicates and suppression rules for changing areas.

Result

Violations are now logged automatically, and a weekly per-area report replaced manual rounds.

Licence plate recognition at the checkpoint

Problem

Vehicle passes were processed manually, and the entry queue reached forty minutes during peak hours.

Solution

We built a cascade: vehicle detection, then plate detection and reading, a check against the booking database and barrier control.

Result

Routine pass processing no longer requires an operator.

Problem

Inspectors reviewed images by hand, and inspection speed limited the throughput of the line.

Solution

We trained a classifier on a labeled defect sample and added a suggestion mode for the inspector instead of full automation, keeping the human accountable.

The inspector now reviews only the ambiguous items flagged by the model.

Problem

Unplanned conveyor stoppages were discovered after the fact, and the repair crew arrived once the line had already stopped.

Solution

We consolidated drive telemetry and repair history into one store, trained a model on historical failures and validated it across time periods.

Result

Operations receives a warning before the failure and schedules repair within a maintenance window.
